Today is Sunday, and it is appropriate that I post one of the most faith-filled chapters of the Bible.

Today I got much of Genesis recorded. Lots of names to figure out!
Since today was Christmas Day, I took the day off.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
I’ll be back tomorrow.

Today is Christmas Eve, and the birthday of my middle son. Both events naturally involve a lot of involvement in terms of preparation and participation.
Consequently, recording time is limited yet again.
I did get into the Gospel According to Saint Matthew, however, and Chapter 4 is my offering to you today.

Despite the extra errands that needed to be done because of the soon-approaching birthday of my middle son, and Christmas, I was able to record the first several chapters of the Psalms.
I’ll be really glad when schedules return to “normal”.

Today I created the video introducing the project and recorded part of The Gospel According to Saint Matthew. I will be completing the book by the time I wind up for the day, but I wanted to get this posted before I put the link to the announcement out to my Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites.
I do plan to video some of the recording sessions as the days roll by, so watch for that, too!
I’ve been hired to provide a recording of the historic Douay-Rheims Bible. For more information on this translation of God’s Word, click here and here. For more information about my voiceover services, click here.
Yes, this is a Catholic Bible. No, I have not converted. However, this translation is the Word of God, and I am honored to be recording the entire Bible once again. As I have stated publicly many times on the Lifespring! show, and on the Lifespring! Media website, I am not concerned with doctrinal issues that divide believers as long as the central issue (that being, who do you say Jesus of Nazareth is?) is upheld.
The recording will take place between December 22, 2009 and January 31, 2010. That’s right, just over a month to record the entire Bible! According to my calculations, I’ll need to record about 940 verses per day to complete the project on time. Interested in following my progress? It might be fun to see if I can make it!
I’ll be posting here on a daily basis to keep you up to date on my progress, and I’ll be posting one of the many chapters I complete each day as well, and I’ll be providing them as a free podcast. Just subscribe to the podcast feed using the links in the sidebar to the right, or go to iTunes and subscribe there.
Since I am doing this as a work for hire, I do not have the rights to provide the entire, completed work to you for free. However, when the project is all done, I will have links here for you to purchase it. A portion of the proceeds will then go towards supporting Lifespring! Media, which is a good thing!
Look for the first chapter to show up here within the next 48 hours!
