Day Twenty-nine
Several El Niño storms have been blowing through southern California, forcing me to shut down the recording process. I’ve made some progress, but nowhere near what I had planned.

Great work. I’m enjoying the daily podcast.
You have an error at marker 1:50 or at least a discrepancy between the text on-line and your reading. The text reads “18 He said to them: Bring them hither to me.” while you say “Who said them…”
See http://www.drbo.org/chapter/47014.htm
Best regards and God bless you work.
Now *I* made an error. I should have written, “…while you say, “Who said to them…”"
At any rate the difference is in between He and Who
Ah, well, now I’ll have to do some further research. The text at drbo.org says “He”. However, the text at tldm.org says “Who”.
Either way, Owen, I’m thankful for your input! I appreciate the attention to detail. I’m trying VERY hard to get each word right.
Please feel free to comment again…
Blessings!
UPDATE:
After consulting other online versions of the text, including gutenberg.org, it looks like the correct word here is “Who”. I had a suspicion that “Who” was correct because it would be consistent with other similar uses in Matthew.
Did some homework too and the answer is – both are correct. It all depends on the date of the translation one is referencing. The site I noted is based on the text for the 2003 Baronius Press edition which exactly follows the “Bishop Richard Challoner Revisoin, 1899″ DR which I also have in old fashioned hard copy in front of me. The tldm.org uses the gutenberg.org source which notes that it is also based on “various editions: of the Challoner revision which, rather interestingly, agrees with the reliable http://www.newadvent.org/bible/mat014.htm
Fascinating. It would be interesting to know what source(s) of the DR the newly published DR from Tan Books / St. Benedict Press follows. The cover of that ed. says it also follows the Challoner revision. Now I’d really like to know the cause/source of the discrepancy – just for curiosity sake not doctrinal.
My daily read is the RSV-CE but I do enjoy the DR which you read with joy and grace. Lovely.
